When police inspector Bettina Käser starts to investigate the murder of Gottfried Rösli, suspicion initially falls on his daughter Käthi's husband Sämi, who was deeply conflicted with his father-in-law. But soon Bettina starts to have doubts. Together with her assistant Roberto Egger she digs deeper, but the truth about the perpetrator is a surprise, even for Bettina.
