L'anno senza giorni

2015, for the victims of Charlie Hebdo, and for the whole of France, is a very short year. It begins on New Year's Eve and seven days later it is already over. And just when the tragedy seems to be over, Paris plunges back into terror with the attacks of 13 November.

The documentary deals with an anniversary that is not fulfilled, attempts the impossible re-elaboration of a tragedy that repeats itself and gathers the testimonies of those who "survived" Charlie Hebdo.

Maryse Wolinski, widow of the cartoonist Georges, and Paul Bolten, enigmatic husband of the psychoanalyst Elsa Cayat, the only female victim of the editorial office, accompany us on their different but equally intense journey into pain. In the background is a series of touching testimonies from people who, in various ways, are intertwined with the events at Charlie Hebdo and whose lives were changed by the attack. Tragic events that call for reflection on the nature of terrorism today, of global war and of the near future.
