Kein Zurück - Studers neuster Fall

The almost completely skeletonised body of a child is found in the undergrowth of a remote forest near Zurich. Detectives Claudia Studer and Stefan Huber are assigned to investigate the murder. The only clue to the perpetrator is a lighter found near the body. The way in which the boy was presumably murdered is strongly reminiscent of an unsolved child murder committed a year earlier on cantonal territory. Is it possibly a serial killer?

The police are investigating at full speed when suddenly another child goes missing. It is Claudia Studer's godchild, who disappeared without a trace on her way home. The suspicion that 10-year-old Lukas has been abducted by the same perpetrator is confirmed. The police are required to act with psychological skill and Claudia Studer is doubly challenged. Although she is privately affected, Claudia Studer wants to continue investigating. When the press learns of her family involvement, the authorities come under fire. Studer is taken out of the firing line and transferred to the office. However, the investigations make only slow progress and the pressure from the public increases.
